We just stayed at Magic Moon for 4 nights, and were so sad to have to leave! It is truly a spiritual, unforgettable place. Anja and her team at Magic Moon were very helpful in answering our every question and fulfilling any request we had with ease. The property is breathtaking, and our son loved climbing the giant mango tree, as well as exploring all of the beautiful plants and animals surrounding the house. Can't say enough great things about it.

The Magic Moon Beach House is simply the perfect place if you plan to stay in Puerto Viejo for more than just two days. The host and staff are very nice and offer their help everywhere needed. It's clean, safe and very well maintained. We recommend to rent some bikes (just ask the host) which makes it very easy to go to the town and other beaches. We definitely recommend all travellers to Puerto Viejo to stay there.

Everything was perfect for the most part. Beautiful views, sounds, property, location, and accommodations. Was confused why housekeeping was already cleaning everything up hours before check-out but besides that everything was amazing.

The Magic Moon house is exactly as it appears in photos! Check in was easy, we called from Límon and someone greeted us and took five minutes to show us the keys and house. If we had any questions, there was a detailed book with instructions, recommendations and introductions to the maintenance crew at Magic Moon. The staff at Magic Moon (specifically Silver and Alejandra) took time to show us the grounds, wildlife and provided tips about the community. From cutting fresh coconut to pointing out sloths in the trees to telling us about local snorkeling spots, the staff genuinely cares about you and your family! The house sits on a secluded beautiful property so close to the ocean you can hear the waves from your bedroom. Playa Negra was the beach across the street; very secluded and quiet. Cahuita National Park is less than 15 minutes by car and was our favorite destination by far. Playa Chiquita was also a favorite beach and also less than 15 minutes from the house. The house is in a central location to all of these places and more including Puerto Veijo, but it is NOT walkable to downtown Puerto Veijo where the majority of bars and restaurants are. There are a few places close by the house that the host recommends but we did not get to try them. Overall we had a great stay at Magic Moon and will return for another stay!
